Thread:- Wine Uni-Thread

Tail:- Red game cock hackle fibres

Body:- Peacock herl

Rib:- red holographic tinsel

Hackle:- Red game cock hackle fibres

Start your thread at eye of hook and run down just short of bend Strip off a few fibres of a feather from a cock cape and tie them on to the top of the hook. Trim back excess end and tie in a length of red holographic tinsel Run thread back up to eye and back to bend to make an even body.
Tie in peacock herl on top of the hook. Evenly wind peacock herl up to just short of eye of hook and secure with a turn of thread. Then wind in red holographic tinsel in reverse to tie in peacock herl, leaving even gaps to form rib and tye off. Take another cock feather and pull off tip to form a V shape at the top of the feather Tie in on the underside of the hook with 2 loose turns of thread and pull feather until you are happy with the position of the fibres.
Trim off excess feather then whip finish tying thread and cut off. Tie on red no4 GloBrite floss. Build up head and whip finish. Apply some head cement.
