NRFFA
Newport Reservoirs Fly Fishing Association

Newsletter 2011

Chairman's Message

Dear Members,

As is customary, I would like to wish all members a happy New Year.

I am sure that, as those of you who were able to be present at our recent A.G.M. will confirm, the Associations' objective of providing good fishing at competitive prices in a pleasant environment continues to be achieved.

Catch returns in excess of 6000 fish overall, reflect the ongoing progress of the Association, in terms of stocking policy, plus advice and information, via the website to new members and visitors.

Thanks therefore are due once again to the 2010 committee, plus a small group of members who attend to the maintenance of Ynys-Y-Fro as a quality fishery.

Finally, on behalf of all involved with N.R.F.F.A. I would express sincere thanks to our retiring Vice-President, Roy Morris, for his many years of service, particularly as General Treasurer.

I look forward to meeting many of you at our annual social evening and around the banks of Ynys-Y-Fro.

                                      Tight Lines,

Fish Stocking

As members have been so happy with the quality of the fish stocked, Steve will be continuing to order fish from the same two suppliers as last season.

Important Notice- End of Season Work Party

Unfortunately, the 2010 work party was very poorly attended. This made some of the tasks very difficult, particularly the removal of the boats from the water.

The date of the 2011 work party has yet to be set, but is usually on the first Saturday after the season closes.

The date will be posted in the hut. Please make every effort to attend.
